Hunter is an executive and entrepreneur with diverse industry experiences.  Hunter’s 30 year career has been focused primarily on the investment in or acquisition of operating companies in the Lower Middle Market (”LMM”).  He has served on and advised many of the boards serving the various companies he has invested in and advised over the years.  Hunter is a founding partner or Mangrove Equity Partners, a Tampa, FL based private equity firm focused on partnering transactions with founders and management teams of LMM companies. 

Prior to co-founding Mangrove in 2006, Hunter co-founded Harren Equity Partners in 2000.  Harren was similarly focused on control investments in the LMM.  Following his graduation from Darden in 1994, Hunter joined Quad-C, a Charlottesville based private equity fund.

Hunter and his wife Beth have lived in Charlottesville for more than half of their respective lives.  They love being outdoors and enjoy all types of live music.  They are the proud parents of 4 mostly grown sons.  Both Beth and Hunter have served on the Boards of various local organizations and agencies.
