Kinda Hachem is an associate professor of business administration in the Global Economies and Markets area and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Toronto and worked at RBC Financial Group and the Bank of Canada prior to her doctoral studies. She conducts theoretical and empirical research at the intersection of macroeconomics, monetary economics and banking. Her current research explores the aggregate implications of bank decision-making, the unintended consequences of financial regulation, and the effect of central bank communication on expectations. Before joining Darden in 2018, she was associate professor of economics at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
