Milena Störmer is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Her research focuses on the role of business in conflict-affected and transitional societies, with particular interests in conflict environments, peace and violence, stakeholder theory, and human rights governance.
She holds a PhD in Strategic Management, with a specialization in Value-Oriented Management, from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany. She participated in a four-year international doctoral program in Business and Human Rights, where she served as a doctoral representative and was a lead organizer of events including the International Doctoral Program Conference on Business and Human Rights and several research workshops in Nuremberg. During her doctoral studies, she was a visiting graduate scholar at the Darden School of Business. She also participated in a three-year teaching exchange program with the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, where she taught annual intensive seminars for graduate students, as well as in a teaching exchange with ESSCA School of Management in Lyon, France.
