This effort is a manifestation of the will of UVA Health to advance care delivery by creating a formal connection between the learning laboratory that is our health system and the subject matter expertise and capable student workforce on Grounds at the University of Virginia. The primary goal is to translate real world operational problems into interdisciplinary innovation projects identified by UVA Health leaders and informed and supported by students and faculty. An additional goal is to bring innovators onto Grounds in a way that allows for experimentation and rapid co-development of technical solutions to healthcare challenges. Dr. Hoke is originally from Baltimore, MD, graduated from Dartmouth College in 1991, and is an avid pickleball player.
