Paul Freed is an assistant professor at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. His main areas of research are in consumer finance, real estate, and law and finance. He has presented his research at leading academic conferences and won several awards, including the Stanford University Rising Scholar in Financial Literacy Award. His recent work studies how financial conditions shape individual behavior, such as the propensity to engage in financial crime.
