Tuition and Fees Class of 2022

The Student Information System (SIS) is the system of record for all student-related information including unofficial transcripts, grades, student finance, and financial aid.  Once admitted, students will have access to the SIS.  Through the SIS, the University of Virginia makes student finance information available online for viewing and payment through UVAPay.

Fall 2020 tuition bills will be available 21 July 2020, and they are due 19 August 2020. Spring 2021 tuition bills will be available 15 December 2020, and they are due 13 January 2021.

 

Tuition and Fees Schedule

Tuition and fees are billed twice each year prior to the fall and spring semesters. Your admission deposits will be credited against your first year fall semester bill.

If you will be using student loans to finance any portion of the costs, please refer to the Cost of Attendance budget for information on expenses that can be covered with financial aid.

Tuition and fees for the Class of 2023 will be posted on the website following approval by the Board of Visitors.

*In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Case Fees charge was reduced for the Fall semester for the Class of 2022 by $50 (the total amount was previously $1,000).  The total billed amount for the Fall semester was previously $35,800 for Virginia Domicile students, $37,300 for Non-Virginia Domicile students, and $37,400 for International Students.

Required Health Insurance

The University of Virginia requires all students to have health insurance coverage. Students can elect to enroll in the University of Virginia student health insurance plan through Aetna or they may have outside coverage from another insurance provider. More detailed information regarding the Aetna Student Health Insurance plan is available on the Student Health website.

For students who enroll in the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan, the annual premium will be billed in the Fall semester. The Fall 2020 health insurance premium amount is included above.

For students who have health insurance coverage through another provider, you must submit the Insurance Hard Waiver to confirm you have comparable coverage. Learn more about the University of Virginia’s health insurance requirements on the Student Health website.
