MBA Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club
Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club
The Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club (EVC Club) is the home at Darden for anyone looking to start a venture, join an early-stage company, or learn to invest in one, now or in the future. Our mission is to build a community where current and future founders, operators, and investors learn from each other, connect with those who came before them, and develop the skills to act on their ambitions, at Darden and beyond.
The EVC club achieves this by:
- Being an educational resource for members founding or joining a startup, or exploring venture capital
- Bridging members to a network of Darden alumni who are actively founding, operating, and funding companies
- Providing career support for members pursuing opportunities in startups and venture capital
Learn more about Darden's Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship Initiatives.
The EVC Club works closely with the Richard A. Mayo Center for Asset Management and the Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology to support members at every stage, whether you're exploring an idea, evaluating a startup to join, or building conviction as a future investor, by:
- Integrating Darden with the greater Charlottesville and UVA entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Complementing and influencing existing academic curriculum with more experiential and entrepreneurial-thinking opportunities
- Being a platform that encourages and guides students through the process of starting and funding new ventures or acquiring existing businesses
- Providing a mentorship and support network
- Cultivating a sense of community
